The Sorting Trail: nature teaches us!

A path to get to know better the nature… of our waste! Follow the guide on the paths of Yvonand, at the edge of the lake of Neuchâtel…

The goals

In an enchanting setting, on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, you will walk along the Sentier du Tri. At each step, you will discover the second life of the waste we produce every day and the benefits we can get by sorting it carefully. In a few decades, the volume of waste has almost doubled, but thanks to awareness, every year the proportion of waste we sort is increasing. This trail may help you to improve your knowledge and put an end to some preconceived ideas. If you want to discover the region in an original way and you want to know everything about waste recovery, then go and discover the Sentier du Tri.

The route

This 14 kilometer long trail is divided into 17 steps that you can follow on foot or by bike.

It is divided into two loops going from step 1 to step 9 (countryside part) and from step 9 to step 17 (village and lakefront part). If you do not wish to walk the entire 14 kilometers from step 9 to step 1, a path leads you back to step 1.

Practical information

Some parking spaces are available at stage 1, at the Pont des Iles. You can also leave your car on the school parking lot during the weekend.
